FTS is an awarded vendor on the state contract for providing school buses to qualified purchasers throughout Florida. The Department of Education’s Contract for School Buses 2010-16 has recently been published and distributed to Florida District Schools. FTS was the only vendor to receive an award in the Type A, Type C and Type D categories of buses – offering our customers a complete line of school transportation products.
From the small 18-passenger bus all the way up to an 84-passenger rear engine bus, there is a product for every district, private school, charter school or contractor available on the contract. Blue Bird and FTS also put forth their most aggressive pricing ever, giving customers the most value for their dollar with the most economical bus in almost every category. In today’s economic climate, there is absolutely no need to pay more and get less.
The D.O.E. contract provides a Pricing and Order Guide that allows a buyer to choose what options they need on their buses – chassis/body options, air conditioning, camera systems, GPS, back-up cameras and even Wi-Fi and computer diagnostic software. Alternative fuel buses are available on the contract as well. Blue Bird’s Propane Powered Vision and the CNG powered All American rear engine bus give Florida customers an opportunity to transport students in the most environmentally friendly fashion – and increase our usage of domestically produced fuel sources. In several cases, the aggressive pricing of FTS and Blue Bird can provide an alternative fuel bus for LESS than the cost of our competition’s diesel bus. What an incentive to make the change to cleaner operating buses!!
